Provider and contact: BakeSafe is provided by bakesafeuk. Contact bakesafehelp@gmail.com about your account, subscription, refund request or these Terms.

What BakeSafe is: BakeSafe is a digital tool that helps UK home bakers organise food safety records, reminders, allergen and label information, stock, customer orders, FSA alerts, invoices and exports. It supports your record-keeping but does not replace your own checks or responsibilities.

Your responsibility: You are responsible for checking all records, ingredients, allergens, labels, dates, reminders, customer details, invoices and exported documents before relying on them. You remain responsible for your food safety decisions, business decisions and legal obligations.

Free trial and payment: New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, access to BakeSafe will be paused unless you choose to subscribe and enter your payment details. Prices, billing periods and payment details should be checked at checkout before you subscribe.

Immediate access and cancellation rights: BakeSafe is provided as a digital service with immediate access. By starting a trial or subscription, you ask us to provide access straight away and acknowledge that your 14-day cancellation right may be lost once access starts, except where the law says otherwise. Checkout may ask you to confirm acceptance of these Terms before payment.

Refund policy: If you change your mind after your first payment, you may request a full refund within 24 hours by contacting bakesafehelp@gmail.com with the email address used for your account and reasonable proof of the transaction. After 24 hours, refunds are considered case by case and are not normally given where the account has continued to be used, unless required by law.

Trial expiry and unpaid accounts: If your trial ends and you do not subscribe, access to BakeSafe will be paused. If no subscription is started within 7 days after the trial ends, your account and saved records may be permanently deleted. Deleted records cannot be recovered, so export anything you need before your trial ends.

Account deletion: Account deletion is permanent. Export any records you need before requesting deletion. Once a deletion request is confirmed, account information will be deleted within 7 days and cannot be recovered, although limited information may be kept where needed for fraud, abuse, security, legal or dispute reasons.

Record retention: Daily task records are deleted after 6 months. Customer order records are deleted after 3 months. Stock control is active stock only. These deletions are automatic and permanent, so export PDFs or files regularly as your own backup.

Acceptable use: You must not use BakeSafe for scams, fraud, false claims, unlawful activity, harmful uploads, refund or trial abuse, account sharing, scraping, reverse engineering, unauthorised security testing, interfering with the service, or trying to access another user's data. Your account is for one user and one business only unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Suspension or termination: We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably needed because of non-payment, fraud, abuse, security risk, serious misuse, legal compliance, protection of other users, or protection of BakeSafe and its systems. If we find serious abuse of BakeSafe, including fraud, scams, refund abuse, attempts to access another user's data, security attacks or deliberate misuse of the service, we may permanently block the account and refuse future access, unless the law requires otherwise.

Service availability: BakeSafe may change, pause, update or withdraw features. Availability can depend on your internet connection, browser, device, installed PWA support, Google/Firebase services, notification services and other third-party systems.

Liability: Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. BakeSafe is not professional legal, food safety or business advice. You must verify outputs, keep suitable backups and use your own judgement before relying on the app. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Changes to these Terms: We may update these Terms as BakeSafe changes. If the changes are important, you may be asked to review and accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the app.
