Check which size to buy
Include the product name, the full ingredients list, your business name and address, and a date. Those extras use space, which is why a short ingredients paste on its own is misleading.
Type the size you actually print. 6 pt is used on small UK stickers; 9 pt is a typical thermal ingredients size.

Sizes UK bakers actually buy
- 76x51mm (3x2 inch) — the usual Munbyn rectangle roll. Fine for a short biscuit or loaf list. Often too small once chocolate, jam or frosting sub-ingredients are written out.
- 100x50mm (4x2) — extra width for the same depth. The usual step up when 76x51 looks cramped.
- 70x50mm / 80x60mm / 89x36mm — other rectangles BakeSafe prints. 89x36 is short in the feed direction, so long lists struggle.
- 102x152mm or 100x150mm (4x6) — shipping-label size. Safest for loaded brownies, celebration cakes and wholesale boxes.
- 50x50 square and 50/76mm round — usually too small for a full PPDS ingredients list. Better as a brand sticker, with ingredients on a larger thermal label.

Frequently asked questions
What size labels do I need for cake ingredients?
There is no one legal millimetre size. You need enough area for the name, full ingredients, address and date at a readable type size (UK mandatory text has a 1.2mm x-height rule on most packs). Use the checker above with your real wording.
Is 76x51 (Munbyn 3x2) big enough?
Only if the opened-out list is short. Compound ingredients (chocolate, baking powder, Biscoff) make 76x51 fill up fast. 100x50 or 102x152 is the usual fix.
Can I screenshot a label from this page?
