From packs to Munbyn in three steps
Add each ingredient
Photo the ingredients list on packaged packs (bulk upload when you have several). If there is no ingredients list on the item, type it in instead.
Check the label
Review text against the packs you are using now. Manufacturers sometimes change ingredients. If something is different, rescan that one pack with a single photo, or add/edit the ingredient and type the update. Everything stays editable.

No ingredients list on the pack? Type it
Scanning needs something printed to read. If an item has no ingredients list, do not force a scan. There is nothing for the system to match against, and you will get a messy or empty result. Add the ingredient in BakeSafe and type it yourself.
Example: fresh eggs are not a packaged product with a full ingredients list. Add “egg” as the ingredient and type it. You would not also put “egg” again in the sub-ingredients box. Sub-ingredients are for what is listed on a pack (flour mix, chocolate chips, and so on). Simple unpackaged items are typed at the ingredient level.
