If Chrome says “unconfirmed” or blocks the download

That’s normal for a new .exe — the file is safe to keep. Chrome often blocks uncommon app downloads until you confirm.

Open the download menu (arrow icon, or Ctrl+J).
Find bakesafe-windows.exe.
Click ⋮ (three dots) or the warning → Keep → Keep anyway.
Then open the file from your Downloads folder.

Still stuck? Use Download as ZIP instead, open the zip, then run bakesafe-windows.exe inside it.

Why use the Windows app?

Quieter Munbyn reconnect — remembers your printer so you are not asked every print
Same account — sign in with Google or Microsoft; your records stay synced
Same billing — trial and subscribe through BakeSafe / Stripe as on the website
Good for iPhone bakers — print from a Windows laptop while you use BakeSafe on the computer

How to install (about 1 minute)

Click Download Windows app above (or the ZIP if Chrome blocks the .exe).
If Chrome warns, use Keep / Keep anyway (see above).
Open bakesafe-windows.exe (portable — no long install wizard).
Follow the SmartScreen steps below if Windows shows a blue warning.
When BakeSafe opens, sign in, turn the Munbyn on, and print as usual.

Windows SmartScreen will warn you — that’s normal. This app is not from the Microsoft Store yet, so Run anyway is hidden at first.

When it says Windows protected your PC, click More info.
Run anyway then appears — click it.
If nothing seems to happen, check the taskbar for BakeSafe, or open the file again from Downloads.

After this install, BakeSafe updates like the Android app: the Windows shell opens the live website, so you usually do not need to download again for app fixes. Only download a new file from this page if we specifically say a Windows shell update is required.

Shell update (1.0.1): if Change printer does nothing, download this page’s latest bakesafe-windows.exe, close the old BakeSafe window fully, then open the new file.
